About Us

Journalism Club is a place where Shallow students work together to create monthly newsletters. Although some people think the club is only for writers, there are actually many roles students can participate in. Students can draw pictures, take photographs, design templates, organize the website, and so much more. Students have the opportunity to be reporters and use what their interviewees say to create a story. The aim of this club is to promote awareness of what is happening at Shallow, while at the same time helping students make new friends at the organization. Students work collaboratively to inform teachers, students, and staff members about monthly events, related to Shallow. Journalism Club offers great opportunities for students to explore different types of writing and foster their own career paths in journalism, graphic design, photography, website design, etc.
